Applications from all other countries are being managed by the GS on behalf of all the funding bodies, and applications should be made via the form available at the Geochemical Society's website. These delegates should not use the form on the conference website.
You will be considered for a grant if you completed your first degree in a lower income countries, or are now working in one of these. Lower income countries are those listed by the as such by the World Bank, and listed here.
Application Submission Instructions
Applicants should prepare the following documents in PDF format:
- A CV of their work to date
- A copy of their Goldschmidt 2008 abstract
- An explanation of the broader significance of their research
- A proposed budget for their trip
- A covering/supporting letter from their head of department
Preparing Your Application
Each of these documents should be submitted as PDF files (using the application form available from the link at the bottom of this page) and be no more than 1 page in length. Submissions must be accompanied by all of these documents. CVs should include the applicant's work and study history including any relevant publications; you should have submitted your abstract to the conference (see here for instructions). Your draft budget should include a description of your financial need, and availability of travel support from other sources.
Data Protection
When you submit your application it will be assumed that you grant permission for Cambridge Publications to hold your data in the conference database and pass it to the grant application review team or their nominated agents.
